Pole Position

Our good friends at Pole Position operate a large go-karting centre in Leeds. Rated as “The UK’s most innovative Karting Circuit” by Karting Magazine, they boast a hugely impressive venue with a lot to offer, including corporate events, junior karting and Ginetta motorsport events. As well as wrapping their carts, they also asked us for some vehicle branding on their company car.

PPIK came to us with their new BMW M1351, with factory standard gloss black paintwork. They wanted a full gloss white wrap, with some simple but effective business branding on top. We used cut vinyl in gloss metallic grey to complement the white bodywork, featuring the Pole Position Indoor Karting logo, contact details, and even a little graphic showing the track layout!

In addition we added an offset stripe which started at the rear spoiler and ended at the front of the bonnet. Some side graphics were placed to follow the natural body contours of the vehicle. We also used the vehicles original gloss black colour to our advantage, leaving some small highlights unwrapped, such as the side skirt trims, rear diffuser and front corner spats.

Prior to the ‘machine-cut’ vinyl being fitted, the bumpers, mirrors, door handles and all trims were removed to allow us to wrap behind, hiding the joins between the vinyl and providing a faultless finish. The whole vehicle was first wrapped in a gloss white wrap. Then the machine-cut graphics were applied on top, all around the vehicle. A full length stripe was added on the top. The car is used as a company vehicle for members of the team. Whilst looking great on the road, it also uses its tasteful graphics to promote the business.
